Expect A Lot From Call Of Duty Black Ops 2
Gamers from every single part of the world will be counting down the days until the amazing game that is Black Ops 2 is finally released. The amount of attention a big game gets does not go unnoticed, but in respect to Black Ops 2, there is even more than normal.
The first game or the spin off was such a massive success that it has in turn put a wave of huge pressure on its second edition. Now people are expecting this new game to be as good as the first naturally. There was some news on the Internet that got leaked the other week about hidden Easter eggs. These are gems in the game and can be used to unlock really cool bonus items like weapons and maps.
Once the revelation had broken out about the leaked Easter egg footage, the amount of YouTube videos uploaded about breakthrough was astonishing. News sites were writing articles on the spoiler at an alarming rate and by the end of the day the whole of the world wide web knew about it.
That is the power of this game and how much interest it has got just purely because of its name. I have to say myself, i loved the first addition and cannot wait for Black Ops 2 if I'm completely honest. The weapons in the new game are so good that it would take nearly all day to name them all.
The quantity of weapon choice is quite remarkable and really impressive to say the least. The quality of guns is one part of the sequel that has improved dramatically along with the graphics have got slightly better as well.
The game developers did actually have a break from this spin off of the series to concentrate on the other spin off. Modern Warfare 3 was the third installment of the Modern Warfare spin off. Black Ops and MW are all part of the Call Of Duty series. So two years later and we finally have the second part of COD Black Ops.
The shoot em up games tend to do very well in selling copies of their respected titles when it comes down to it. There seems to be a huge market for video games that have content full of action and weaponry. The latest version of Call Of Duty (Black Ops 2) is out on the 13th November 2012.
Halo Reach Winter Contingency Walkthrough on Legendary, Alone
You begin this level with a 600 ammo assault rifle and a 70 ammo magnum. You are riding in a falcon with Carter and Jun and land on top of a hill to investigate a distress beacon below. This distress beacon is fake, created by covenant forces as a trap. If you sprint down the hill, you will find an invisible Elite spec ops escaping the scene, most likely the one who created the trap. It will not attack you even if shot at, and will disappear after crossing the bridge. If you kill this Elite, it will drop a data pad which contains information about covenant glassing.
After reaching the distress beacon and possibly killing the Elite spec ops, move forward down the path to the right. Follow the path through a building, where you will come to another building with three farmers. Jorge will talk to these farmers, and they will warn you of "something in the fields." Continue following the path to the right, where you will eventually come to a farming building with covenant outside. This area is the "Outlook" firefight mission. You will find a Skirmisher major with a needle rifle on top of the building to the left. As soon as it sees you, the Skirmisher calls for backup. This triggers seven normal Grunts, one Grunt ultra, and three Skirmisher minors with needlers to move in and attack. The three Skirmisher minors run into the basement underneath you, but the Grunts and the lookout stay outside. Kill the Skirmisher major and the Grunts through the window with your magnum while using the wall next to the windows as cover. Next, move down the stairs into the basement to finish off the Skirmishers. As soon as you exit the building, two banshees will attack Jun's falcon, but they do not pose a threat to you. Swap your assault rifle for one of the Grunt's plasma pistols before leaving.
Move forward into the farm and out the gates, where you will find a Grunt minor and a Grunt ultra whom you should kill with magnum headshots. Once you reach the bridge, a phantom will drop six normal Grunts, one Grunt ultra, and three Skirmisher majors in the rocks on the other side of the bridge. Wait for the phantom to leave, then cross the bridge and use one of the large rocks as cover. Kill all of the enemies with magnum headshots, moving up to new rocks as cover if necessary.
Once you kill these enemies and cross the river, you will find four Grunts, and Elite major, three Elite ultras, and an Elite general with a concussion rifle. First kill the Grunts with your magnum by using the large rock in front of the tree as cover. Then, move backwards and into the building to your left. This building will provide you good cover from the Elites. While most of the Elites are focusing on the other Spartans, walk out of the building and remove one of the Elite's shields with an overcharged plasma pistol shot. Quickly kill them with a magnum headshot before their allies injure you, then immediately step back into the building to avoid enemy fire. Repeat this tactic to kill all of the Elites, including the general. After killing the last Elite, grab a fresh plasma pistol from one of the Grunts bodies, move forward towards the small cliff to your left, and jump down to enter the next rally point.
Part 2: Rebels don't leave plasma burns
At the bottom of the cliff, you will find a truck and health kit. Restock on health if necessary. If you enter the truck, carter will ride in the passenger's seat and Jorge will ride on the back. Because Jorge carries a turret, this provides the truck with the equivalent firepower of a standard warthog. However, there is an achievement for completing this level without entering any vehicles, so utilize sprint instead if you do not have this achievement yet.
Partway down the path, you will find two Skirmisher majors, one with a needle rifle. Whether you are in a truck or on foot, kill these Skirmishers and swap your magnum for the needle rifle. The path will then take you across a small bridge to a fork in the road. The right path will lead you into a small settlement filled with covenant. However, clearing this settlement is not part of your objective, so I suggest taking the left path to bypass it.
If you take the right path: You will almost immediately come to a courtyard surrounded by buildings where you will find four Grunts and an Elite minor. Move into the building too your left and kill the Grunts, then the Elite. Exit through the large garage door in the middle of the building. If you have the truck, you can drive right by this fight without killing the enemies. Inside the buildings, you will find an assault rifle, a 16 ammo magnum, a grenade, and two health kits.
Both of the paths combine at a large open area with a covenant antenna off to the left. If you came here quickly, you will find two Skirmishers, one with a needle rifle. Kill them both and add the needle rifle ammo to your needle rifle. Continue down the path, where you will come to a river. Depending on how quickly you got here, you will find a variety of enemies. There are usually at least five Grunts in the river, but there can also be more Grunts, Skirmishers, and even a spirit. Use the rocks on your side of the river as cover to kill all of the light infantry you can see with needle rifle headshots. Cross the river to the buildings on the other side. Here you will find three or four more Grunts and an Elite major. Kill the Grunts first, then the Elite, which triggers a distress signal from Corporal Travis. He and a group of marines are attempting to defend themselves from covenant in another settlement, so Carter instructs you to rescue them.
Exit the settlement you are currently in and take the left path up the hill. Take the second right into the building with the marines. On the lower story of the left building, there is a 30 ammo DMR in the center of the garage, marked with the ordinance symbol. Swap your needle rifle for the DMR and move outside the garage. If you did not kill the two Skirmishers at the crossroads earlier, you will find them here outside of the garage. Kill them if you see the, then take cover behind the stack of four barrels. A spirit will arrive to drop seven Grunts. Kill them with your DMR from your cover.
Has Halo Changed for Better or for Worse?
As the release date of Halo 4 draws nearer, the players who anxiously await its release begin to question whether or not Halo 4 will live up to its predecessors. Halo 1, 2, and 3 were some of the highest selling games of all time, and for good reason. Halo focuses on equality. Everyone starts the game with the same weapons, movement speed, etc.
When Halo: Reach was released, Bungie decided to change these core values and see how their audience would react. The results were not well accepted. Players found the game to be too slow, and the armor abilities to be almost game-breaking in the manner they were implemented. 343 Industries has seen what its audience does not like, and are attempting to fix where Reach went wrong. For instance, the jetpack no longer keeps its players flying in the air for a very long amount of time. Now, when a player uses the jetpack, he or she can fly almost in a burst, and will fall back before really being able to "hover" like they could in Reach. Another ability was armor lock. 343 is not even going to include armor lock into Halo 4. They feel it to be too slow for Halo 4.
Their reasoning is that if someone were to armor lock, than everyone around that player has to stop and wait for him or her to pop out of it. This caused too much of a halt in the flow of the game, and was removed. Instead, the Hardlight shield has been implemented in Halo 4. The Hardlight shield is similar to armor lock, but the player using it is only protected from the front, and they can move while using it. This fixes the halting of the flow of the game, while giving players a similar opportunity to get that same armor lock feel to the game.
343 Industries insists that in Halo 4, with the introduction to customizable classes, players will not feel that one primary weapon completely dominates all the others. This was the case in Halo 1, where the magnum was the go-to weapon for any player. In Halo 2 and Halo 3, the Battle Rifle was the player's weapon of choice. In Reach, the DMR was similar in power and range that it became the instant starting weapon for the professional circuit. However, in Halo 4, players will get to choose their own primary weapon. There are many to choose from, such as the Battle Rifle, the DMR, and the Light Rifle. 343 feels that these weapons are all balanced with each other, and that the choice made by players on which weapon to choose will be purely on personal preference, and not because one is better than the other.
It will be interesting to see in the coming months if these weapons and perks are truly balanced as 343 Industries claims. Generally, it takes a few weeks before most players find that there is in fact one starting weapon that dominates over the rest, but 343 may have changed that in Halo 4.
What NHL 13 Could Offer You During the Lockout
If you enjoy watching hockey games but also enjoy video games then NHL 13 is the game for you. More so than ever this game provides rich content, graphics and gameplay sophistication. There is almost every hockey league there is in this game whether you are looking to play a junior team or a KHL team, its there. It's probably a good thing they have all those leagues in this game because the 2012 NHL lockout won't offer much desire to go into dynasty mode or playing another NHL team online. It's still pretty exciting to play as an AHL team, especially if online roster updates include Ryan Nugent-Hopkins playing for the Oklahoma City Barons or Ryan Johansen donning the Springfield Falcons uniform. The speed of the game will be slightly slower because of the lower overall skillset but if you're the type who likes to be taken over by curiosity then playing the AHL season mode ( Or just AHL games in Dynasty Mode ) will be the thing for you.
If you go to a gamer website like Gamespot or 1up they haven't rated this newest version of the NHL series as highly as previous releases but that is only due to the unmastered Artificial Intelligence and player rating inconsistencies but that is only minor, the user ratings are still a bit higher than the critic scores. For once they are not being criticized for the lack of innovation after every annual release because they have a revamped player skating engine that makes the skating of each player far more realistic than previous games. It also changes the concept of passing because players deep in the offensive zone perform many tight turns and side steps with the puck to look for an open player to pass to. This makes the experience much more fulfilling because it gives an element of unpredictability into the mix.
You can really set your ego into new heights by creating your own player and have him play as a junior and work his way into NHL stardom. You can customize everything like gameplay style such as a dangler, power forward or even a butterfly goaltender. You can also even customize the brand of your equipment like deciding to wear a CCM helmet or choose to stick handle with a Reebok stick and theres also a performance enhancing option for your stick and your skates. For your stick you set the angle of your curve, keeping the curve flat will enable you can shoot low and perform better backhand shots or you can go right to the other side of the barrel by having a very curled blade so you can pick your favourite spot to shoot at more definitively but the drawback to that is you have higher chance of missing the net. The only thing you can do with your skates is set the blade length on your skate. A short length will make you more agile and a long length will make you execute longer skating strides. A length in between the former two is desirable as well.
If you have feelings of loneliness or depression because you miss hockey but you don't want to go out to the local rink or refuse to take up interest to another league then you can get your fill by playing this great hockey simulation which is made by a great company Electronic Arts which by the way had been making these games for almost 20 years and show no signs of quitting soon. Being able to adapt is key to overcoming any adversity. I hope you enjoyed this short article and I will blog again soon.

Medal of Honor Warfighter: Review
Medal of Honor Warfighter is a sequel not a lot of people wanted. But, we got it anyway. To be honest, I was really looking forward to this game, after loving MOH from 2010. MOH is now running on the Frostbite 2 engine and looks better than ever, with graphics on par with Battlefield 3. This is one of the better looking modern shooters out now. But is a new look enough to make you get this? Even when there is a wave of triple A games coming in the next weeks? The answer is a solid yes!
To start off, Im going to get the comparing out of the way. This is a perfect blend between Call of Duty and Battlefield 3 (Multiplayer wise). If your looking for a more realistic fast paced shooter thats very tactical, but played on medium sized maps, look no further. This game feels a lot like Battlefield 3 (and looks like it), which is a good thing!
This is a surprisingly tactical game. I would go as far as saying its more tactical then Battlefield. With the medium sized maps and clear objectives to follow, the game has some great moments. For example the game mode Hotspot is sort of a search and destroy mode. The team defending stays around the base scattered around guarding most points where the enemy can come. If you are attacking, the best way is too split your platoon into two groups and each group try to infitrate a flanking spot. The close quarter spaces and higher player count, call for some truly awesome moments!
If your a fan of killstreaks your in luck. While this isn't tallying up your kills to reward you, it does count up your points. After getting so many points your presented with your kill streak. When you get a streak you have the option to choose from Offensive or Defensive. I really enjoy the option and each of them really help out the team. For example the first streak you earn is the option for a mortar attack (offensive), or a smoke screen(defensive). Both are very useful.
There are a few modes (way more than the last MOH). There are a bunch of guns, with a lot of customizaton options. There are six different classes to chose from, each one having a new look, different kill streaks and stuff like that. I do not know how many ranks there are, but I know there's a ton load.
The campaign seems very fun so far. I enjoyed the hell out of the last MOH campaign. This one seems to be following the same footsteps, giving an emotional journey. This is a highlight for a first person shooter, because most campaigns are horrible. This one is actually worth the play through.
If Medal of Honor Warfighter can have steady updates that fix bugs and other issues, that would be great. Also release a few map packs or other DLC that offers new guns, game modes, or customization options. Things like that keep the community still interested in the game and also brings new players to the game as well. They already have an update right when you start the game, it fixes a lot of things. They also already have a DLC releasing in December, to go along with the new film Zero Dark Thirty. So the next few months look good for the multiplayer aspect of the game.
Medal of Honor is now back in the first person shooter arena and its great. I feel like it has its own identity now and can stand toe to toe with the other big releases this year. I think if your into these kinds of games, you should definitely give it a shot. If not, just skip it. MOH
